If you are reading this article you likely are looking for advice on how to lose weight on your thighs. We need to tell you right off that you should look elsewhere if you are looking for a quick, easy fix to this problem. (As far as we know there are no valid programs that don’t require a dedicated effort on your part.)

We’ve been researching this topic for several months and here are the highlights of what we’ve discovered:
- First and foremost, IT IS FAT — NOT WEIGHT — THAT WE WANT TO LOSE.
- Although there are exercises that target the thighs (more about this in future posts), the consensus of reputable fitness trainers is that the best approach is one that promotes good nutrition and a balanced, whole-body resistance training program.
- There are several well-respected and successful programs (e.g. The Diet Solution Program, Fat Burning Furnace, P90X Extreme Home Fitness Workout Program
, etc.) that use this philosophy as their core.
- For a variety of reasons, a program that works well for one person may not be the best one for you.
- More important than the particular program you choose to use is your commitment to and proper utilization of that program, so be sure to choose a program that meshes well with your individual characteristics (current physical condition, personality type, personal motivations, etc.) and lifestyle factors (home and work schedules, family commitments, etc.) than the programs themselves.
